Good point def - sitting doesn't cut the mustard. Maybe jumping up and down would be even better

The Labour party got itself in the Corbyn bind by electing someone that is unacceptable to the electorate as a whole.
They need to think differently when choosing a replacement.

Corbyn won because the other candidates were fucking hopeless. Good luck this time round.

Would he lose a no confidence vote? I genuinely don't have any idea?

It's a vote put to the Parliamentary Labour Party, in which Mr Corbyn is not Mr Popular.

Coffee thanks, - yes I figured that but I did wonder whether they'd actually go against the wishes of party members so soon after he was pretty overwhelmingly voted in.

The major criticism of Corbyn right now is that he didn't engage enough with the referendum debate. The thing is, I bet that was under party advice - they wanted Cameron to get a bloody nose, panicked too late, and it has backfired massively.

He is leader of his party, I would remind you. Neither he nor you can now claim that his lack of enthusiasm was 'under party advice'. I think it's pretty plain that he also wanted what he sees as a Europe that is too committed to the free market and not enough to workers' rights, etc, to get a bloody nose.
It's going to be interesting to see how this plays out but two things seem obvious to me: the country needs an opposition; Corbyn is neither capable of providing it nor leading it.

I'd fucking love it if it was Diane Abbott, but even Labour supporters aren't that thick.

If there's another leadership election and Corbyn wins that, where would that leave Labour?
